OK! For my first ever contest on my blog, it's an easy one. Give me the names of your top three favorite childrens books in a comment to this post. You have until midnight on tuesday, february 19th.
The prize?
One winner (by random drawing) will get to pick a childrens book from the amazon list in my side bar and I will send it to you! The list contains 59 titles, so i'm sure there is something there for everyone!
If you read but don't comment...this would be a great time to start!
Spread the word!
edited to add: i'm going to extend the contest until friday 2/22 to allow more time for people to enter.

OK.. "Where the wild things are" by Sendak
"My very first Mother Goose".
"Classic Nursery Rhymes" by Weber..
I could go on and on, with all the ones I've discovered over the years.. Cool post. There's lots of books that have things to do in them, so Will might like them better.
hugs,
Jean
Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel,
The Napping House
Chrysanthemum
We LOVE children's books...we read for 45" to an hour every night before bed. It's one thing I think I'm doing right for my children's future.
Whoo! 1/3 odds for me right now!
This is too tough so I'm going to have to give you three of my toddler's most requested books these days:
Olivia
Tickle the Duck (or anything by Mo Willems)
Giraffe's Can't Dance
I'll bite. (Followed your link from Mocha Momma)
It's Okay To Be Different
Skippyjon Jones- my kids love these and the cd that comes with...
Jamberry -my oldest couldn't read this enough, I think it's just permenantly stuck in my head
We love: And If The Moon Could Talk, No, David!(and all the other David! stories) and I Love you Like Crazy Cakes!
Not sure if the linky worked. My blog address is thatmommythatblog.blogspot.com. :)
Big red barn
Good night Moon
Counting Kisses
Lisa
"I love you as Much..."
"My Monstermama loves Me So"
"It's Hard to be 5"
Well, when you ask... I will answer. Eventually.
I love with a burning passion the following:
Flotsam by David Weisner (wordless and awesome by any standard - not just "children's book")
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (and cry big juicy baby tears every single time)
Eleventh Hour by Graeme Base. Amazing, full of pictures and a sort of a mystery. All my kids read it on their 11th birthday. Nice memories.
Our current faves are Underwear Dos and Donts (Todd Parr), green eggs and ham (Lucas likes it when they are underwater and you talk gurgulie) and It's Pajama Time by Sandra Boyton
As a fellow nurse and mom, I'm glad to find a new blog!
My one year old LOVES all of the Touch and Feel books, she drags them around the house. Her other new thing is to go get a book of the shelf, bring it over and hand it to you. Even in the middle of cooking dinner, I have to stop sometimes to read to her.
Underwear
But not the hippopatamus(boynton)
Love you forever
fun contest!

Well I have thousands of faves, but my preschoolers favorites right now are: Z is for Zamboni (big hockey family here)
Great Day for Up and any other Dr. Seuss
I'll Love You Forever and most other Robert Munsch. (this one was written after Robert and his wife lost a baby and is therefore near and dear to our hearts.)
Hmmm...this one is tough. Here are Cordy's favorite three right now:
The Foot Book
Goodnight Moon
That's Not My Puppy
